| Participants learn the optimal times and methods
for signing with their child and how to incorporate
signing into daily routines. We will discuss the
research supporting the Sign with your Baby
method as well as benefits of signing with your
baby. Signs are taught that can help reduce stress
and empower your child through this early mode of
communication. Participants leave comfortable in their
ability to sign and with a number of resources to help
them continue to sign.
This three-hour workshop will introduce you to the
many benefits of using ASL with your pre-verbal infants
and children, helpful tools and techniques of
teaching, and the best time to start signing. You'll
also learn and practice a number of useful signs. Class
includes handouts.
